Squarespace Website Designer for Professionals Who Want It to Just Work

I'm Adil Makhdoom, a freelance Squarespace designer and SEO specialist. Squarespace handles the technical foundations for you and fills in none of the words, so I build clean sites and then do the SEO the platform leaves blank.

Squarespace Experience

Squarespace is what I recommend to people who want a serious website and no maintenance problem. The work is rarely the design. It is the SEO fields nobody filled in and the schema the platform never generates.

What I Do on Squarespace

Squarespace site design

Clean, professional builds on 7.1 for consultants, coaches, therapists and clinics.

Squarespace SEO setup

Every SEO title and description filled, on every page and every post, not just the homepage.

Schema and code injection

The LocalBusiness, Article or FAQ markup Squarespace never generates, added through the Code Injection panel.

Redirects and URL mappings

Set up before slugs change, so you keep every link and every ranking pointing at the old address.

SEO audits of existing sites

Where the missing fields, alt text, heading structure and schema gaps are, with what to fix first.

Platform advice, honestly

If Squarespace is the wrong fit for what you need, I will tell you before you pay me rather than after.

Squarespace Questions I Get Asked

Is Squarespace good for SEO?

Yes, for the fundamentals. Every field search engines read is editable, and sitemaps, canonical tags and SSL are handled automatically. The limits are narrow and technical: no robots.txt editing, no root file uploads and no plugin ecosystem. For most small business sites none of those are why a site is not ranking.

Does Squarespace add schema markup automatically?

Barely. Checking a live Squarespace site, the entire automatic output was one JSON-LD block containing a single WebSite node with a name and a URL. There is no Organization, Article, LocalBusiness or Product markup by default, so anything beyond that has to be added through Code Injection.

Squarespace or WordPress?

WordPress has the higher ceiling, Squarespace has the higher floor. Choose WordPress if you need a real store, custom functionality or hundreds of pages. Choose Squarespace if you want a professional site that keeps working without maintenance. I build on both and have no reason to push you either way.

Can you fix the SEO on my existing Squarespace site?

Yes, and it is most of the Squarespace work I do. It usually starts with the SEO titles and descriptions, which are frequently blank, then alt text, heading structure, redirects and schema. Most sites have months of easy gains sitting untouched.

How much does a Squarespace website cost?

A professional Squarespace site typically runs between $700 and $2,000 depending on page count and content work. Squarespace's own subscription is paid directly to them and sits on top of that.

Will my Squarespace site load quickly?

Reasonably. Squarespace serves through a CDN and generates responsive image sizes automatically. What slows these sites down is almost always oversized images uploaded straight from a camera. There is a performance floor you cannot get under, so chasing a perfect score is wasted effort.
